Death Chamber

I think this was set in a hospital. I'm not sure if I was working there or not. But I stumbled into a room of horror. It appeared to be a gas chamber, a killing room of some sort, kept secret at this place. People of all ages, races, etc. lined this room. The majority was old people. They were lined into rows spaced equally apart. Half of the room was gassed, while the others apathetically waited to be set on fire. I ran out of the room, shocked at what I had just seen. In the hallway, I ran into my friend Brian. I told him what was going on and we went in to save the first man we saw and to get answers. The man turned out to be a good friend of Brian's.

His skin was very stiff and he was covered in some kind of dried liquid. He acted as if he had been drugged or hypnotized. He thanked B and expressed happiness as he saw him but suddenly he became very scared. We were walking away. I stopped as I saw a man spray a liquid onto the man. He sprayed another liquid into a puddle on the ground. The man glared and walked away. Brian's friend turned around and started walking the other way. He walked across the puddle and instantly burst into flames. We started laughing and crying at the same time as if our brains were trying to protect us from the horror we had just witnessed. We couldn't save him.

Symbols

Hospital:

To see or dream that you are in a hospital, symbolizes your need to heal or improve your physical or mental health. You need to get back to the flow of everyday life. Alternatively, the dream suggests that you are giving up control of your own body. Perhaps you are afraid of losing control of your body.

Gas Chamber:
To dream that you or someone is in a gas chamber, suggests that you need to get rid of something in your life that is causing you much sickness, distress, or negativity. It is causing you much harm to your well-being.

Elderly:
To see an elderly person in your dream, represents wisdom or spiritual power. Pay attention to the message or advice that the elderly person is conveying to you. He or she can help provide life answers and solutions to your problems and try to guide you toward the right direction.

Rescue:
To dream that you are being rescued or rescue others, represents an aspect of yourself that has been neglected or ignored. You are trying to find a way to express this neglected part of yourself. Alternatively, it symbolizes an unconscious cry for help. Perhaps you are too proud in your waking life to ask for assistance.

Burning:
To see something burning in your dream, indicates that you are experiencing some intense emotions and/or passionate sexual feelings. There is some situation or issue that you can no longer avoid and ignore. Alternatively, it may suggest that you need to take time off for yourself and relax. Perhaps you are you feeling "burned out" or "burned up". To dream that you or someone is being burned alive, suggests that you are being consumed by your own ambition.

Killer:
To see a killer in your dream, suggests that an essential aspect of your emotions have been cut off. You feel that you are losing your identity and your individuality. Alternatively, this dream may represent purification and the healing process. You are standing up for yourself and putting a dramatic end to something.

Murder:
To dream that you witness a murder, indicates deep-seated anger towards somebody. Consider how the victim represents aspects of yourself that you want to destroy or eliminate.

Cry:
To dream that you are crying, signifies a release of negative emotions that is more likely caused by some waking situation rather than the events of the dream itself. Your dream is a way to regain some emotional balance and to safely let out your fears and frustrations. In your daily lives, you tend to ignore, deny, or repress your feelings. But in your dream state, your defense mechanisms are no longer on guard and thus allow for the release of those feelings that you have repressed during the day.

INTERPRETATION:
I'm really sure how all of the symbols come together for an exact meaning in this dream.. But I think it has to do with a conversation Brian and I had the day before I had this dream. Not sure how we got into it but we started talking about stuff that bothered us from our past. I went to see a hockey game last week and someone was there that really gets under my skin. Someone I want to forget about. It's really hard to forgive and treat that person as if nothing had happened.. especially when the sight or thought of them brings back intense feelings of grief. I just wanna forget about it all. I have moved on but the thought of the past makes me cringe.

Brian said he'd pray for me. I didn't ask for it. And rescuing someone in the dream could be a reflection of my reluctance to ask for help when I need it, especially when the help I'm asking for reveals a deep weakness of mine. I could interpret this dream in a number of ways but I believe it boils down to spiritual warfare. And the people being drugged or hypnotized and killed shows a strong correlation to what "The Enemy" does. He lies and sets things up to have us chasing pipe dreams and mirages... to our very destruction. My hesitation to forgive is killing me. So I choose to ignore it and try to erase corrupted memories.

Another interpretation is that you can't always save everybody from themselves. People will choose to believe in the Matrix and to hide from the truth. And while Brian and I may disagree on whether hell is an actual place or what I believe, a final event where the effects of the burning are eternal and not the burning itself, fire is still involved and the dream could represent witnessing people destroy themselves.

I'm not sure.. I've been out of sync with my subconscious lately.

I need to save myself from another bad path I'm on. I've been having less and less energy lately. I'm trying to cut out energy drinks and caffeine because I've once again become too dependent on them. I'm a little burned out. I called out of work today because of a bad migraine, and I slept til 5pm. I needed this extra sleep. I need to get on a better sleep schedule and take the time to make breakfast in the mornings. I hate going to bed late, feeling like shit, drinking energy drinks, and repeating. It's bad for your health.

The Kid is Alright

It was a sunny day on what looked like West End, Downtown Nashville. I was driving a scooter thing with a ridiculous looking windshield on it. I ran over a barricade thing and made my way to the grocery store. I jumped on my skateboard and rode down this really smooth, steep concrete ramp into the grocery store. It was like something straight out of a skatepark. In the store, loud hip-hop music was playing. I couldn't hear the lyrics but the beat went really well with my weaving in and out of people and shopping carts inside the store on the smooth, glossy concrete. I was looking for 2 or 3 items in the store. Milk was one of them. I skated past a kid and his mother. The kid looked really excited to see me skateboarding through the store. Another board materialized and the kid jumped on to learn how to skate. I got my milk and turned around and the kid was killing it! He learned how to skate in an instant it seemed. He was a natural.

Outside behind the grocery store, I was sitting on a park bench eating something. A group of punks walk by me. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see them giving me mean looks. I ignored them. The kid and his mother were walking. The punks said something and made fun of the little kid. Sick of their foolishness and passive aggressiveness and making fun of that little shredder, I turned to them and made a scene. I hysterically started laughing and yelled in a way Adam Sandler would yell and make fun of someone: "Oh my God! That's so funny! AAHHAHAHAHA!! You're cool, man! So cool!" I continued to laugh and cause a scene. I was waiting for them to start something with me but they half smiled and laughed and seemed embarrassed. Mission accomplished.

Protection:
To dream that you are protecting someone or something, suggests that you are putting up an emotional wall or barrier between you and others around you. Consider who or what you are protecting for clues as to what aspect of your own self you are afraid of letting out and letting others know.

INTERPRETATION:
I don't really have any strong feelings towards this dream. I'm not sure what every symbol means to me in this one.

Skateboarding, searching for milk, the kid, and making fun of the punks were the things that stood out the most. I haven't skateboarded in a few weeks. And I am almost out of milk. Actually I need to go to the grocery store soon. I've been putting it off. But I think the dream goes deeper than just reminding me that I need to get groceries.

It's pretty clear that I was protecting the kid in this dream. And I had no fear in taking on that whole group of punks. But I'm not sure who or what the kid represents. What am I protecting in real life? Well.. the only thing popping into my little pea brain is family matters. My sister has been really hurt by a family member's actions and behavior and apparent lack of caring. It makes me angry. I'm protective of both of my sisters. The milk in the dream, according to dream moods, symbolizes maternal instincts and motherly love. Maybe I'm searching for a protective or nurturing figure myself. Cause it's definitely not coming from this particular family member at the moment.

On a more optimistic note, I don't have to repeat the same mistakes. I have a choice and I can be way better than they ever were. And perhaps my subconscious is telling me I can fight for those I love and be my own person. You always have a choice. The world's what you create.

Keep Growing

This is my first recorded recurring dream. At least.. there are a lot of similarities. It is the same setting as the dream 'Grow Up,' taking place at Chuck E. Cheese's. But instead of my cousin being there with me, three of my best friends were there: Brittney, Cody and Isaac. I went over to the same machine as in the other dream. But this time.. instead of the machine being blocked by money, it was all clear; and I played it with the three remaining tokens I had. I timed the roll and released the token, launching it into a 20-point slot. A few tickets came out. The next roll was timed better, I hit the 80-point slot and a bunch of tickets came out.

With the last remaining token, I concentrated on the Jackpot slot spinning around. I was fairly confident I could hit it. The wheel came around at the point I was waiting on and I released the token. It hit the wheel, almost bouncing out. The token wavered and then made it into the slot. Jackpot! My friends and I celebrated as hundreds of tickets made their way out of the machine. WIN.

To dream that you win at something, indicates that you will succeed in some task. You are experiencing new found confidence in your abilities. The dream may serve to offer you encouragement and motivation.

Celebration:

This may also be a self-congratulatory dream for the goals you have achieved and for the recognition you have gained. You may also be honoring some victory, success, or accomplishment. Alternatively, to dream of a celebration, symbolizes freedom and emotional release. Celebration dreams are common for those who anticipate an upcoming turning point or event in their waking life.

INTERPRETATION:
Recurring dreams are said to have a very important message that the dreamer needs to pay attention to. Most recurring dreams are nightmarish or frightening in content. It's strange that this one seems so positive.

I think it's a reminder. That prosperity is still within my reach as long as I keep my confidence. I was confident about hitting the Jackpot and I made it. As long as I keep my confidence on this new career path, I'll make it. No problem. Since this is a recurring dream, I wonder what else my subconscious could be telling me. Nothing is shouting out at me louder than the fact that I still have a lot of work to do. But I can handle it, and should stay confident. My friends being with me in the dream is a reflection of me wanting them by my side to share in my enthusiasm for life, no matter where our careers or our hearts lead us.

♫ And I want life in every word to the extent that it's absurd ♫

Be Real

This dream, I walked up to a large glass box. Behind the glass was a statue of a white dog. I pressed my face to the glass, looking in.. And the dog became real. He wagged his tail and appeared to be really happy to see me.

Symbols

Dog:

To see a dog in your dream, symbolizes intuition, loyalty, generosity, protection, and fidelity. The dream suggests that your strong values and good intentions will enable you to go forward in the world and bring you success. The dream dog may also represent someone in your life who exhibits these qualities. Alternatively, to see a dog in your dream, indicates a skill that you may have ignored or forgotten.

Glass:
To see glass in your dream, symbolizes passivity or protection. You may be putting up an invisible barrier to protect yourself in a situation or relationship. To dream that you are looking through glass, represents your openness and non-defensiveness. Alternatively, you may be putting up an invisible emotional barrier around yourself.

Gargoyle:
To see a gargoyle in your dream, signifies hidden and embarrassing fears over some secret matters that you have not shared with anyone.

Frozen:
To dream that something is frozen, represents something that has been suppressed, rejected, or denied. It could represent something this is not fully developed. Alternatively, the dream may refer to your emotions and cold or bitter feelings.

INTERPRETATION:
I think this dream has something to do with staying up til 3am talking with my sister who lives in Florida. She and her husband stayed over and we stayed up late talking about everything, but mostly family matters and things that were upsetting us. I've kept a few things hidden, things that still bother me that I no longer wish to talk about because it's embarrassing that such subjects still get to me every now and then. Hidden behind an invisible barrier around me.

Last night I did open up and let things out that have been bothering me. I think the dog represents my feelings and good qualities about me being frozen still. And walking up to the glass to look at the dog, it became real. It's like I need the verbal self-reflection so I can become real again. Self-reflection and realization are important. Another thing that keeps our tails wagging.

Excess Baggage

I was at a Washington D.C. airport, thought it looked more like the O'Hare International Airport. It was very busy. I don't remember if I was arriving or waiting on a flight.

But I was there... Wearing a dog tag that I still have from long ago. A dog tag with jumbled up letters of an ex-girlfriend's name. It wasn't a mistake. That was her nickname. And I used to wear this dog tag all the freaking time. But it's been years since it's been around my neck. It was definitely the most powerful and emotion-evoking symbol. At the airport, I met up with a friend that I haven't seen or talked to since sophomore year of high school. It was strange running into him at the airport. The airport turned into a theater as I walked and I watched a performance. I barely remember that part but I remember the airport and that damn dog tag...

Symbols

Airport:
To see an airport in your dream, symbolizes birth (arrivals) and death (departures). If the airport is busy, then it signifies the desire for freedom, high ideals, ambition, and hopes. It is an indication that you are approaching a new departure in your life. Some new idea is taking off or is ready to take off. You may be experiencing a new relationship, new career path or new adventure.

Chain:
To see chains in your dream, signify your need to break free from a routine, old idea, or a relationship. If you are being chained, then some part of you is being forcefully put in check. You are being held back from what you really want to do.

Baggage:
To see or carry baggage in your dream, refers to the problems and things that you are carrying on your shoulders and weighing your down. You feel that you are being held back by past emotions or problems. Alternatively, baggage symbolizes your identity.

INTERPRETATION:
This dream is easy to interpret. I know exactly what it means. Unfortunately...

The Airport represents my life. And because I wasn't sure if I was departing or not, means that something is holding me back from taking off. I'm carrying excess baggage. I still have that dog tag. Though, I haven't worn it in years, I'm still wearing it metaphorically. It once was a love token, a gift I gave her when I returned from Florida. Now it's a burden.. with a weight as heavy as The One Ring that Frodo carried.

My friend from high school is just another symbol of 'the past' and that chain around my neck makes me feel like a prisoner to the past. I wanna break out.
I wanna break free.
I wanna be free from the past and the penalty..
of that time that hurt so deeply,
I wanna think better of myself and see
my true value and versatility.

I named this dream after a hidden track on Staind's Dysfunction album called "Excess Baggage" found near the end of the song Spleen. It's one of the most depressing songs I've ever heard. I won't post the lyrics but they hit home. I haven't heard that song in years.. and I'm not about to start listening to it again. I've got a lot of work to do to become whole. I'll do what I can but ultimately it's not in my hands.

That's What I Think

I was at work walking down the hallway. My boss, his boss, the Dean and a couple others were walking the same direction. I ran in front of them and ripped a loud, nasty ass fart. I stopped walking. They walked by with shocked expressions on their faces. I don't blame them. It was pretty effing nasty. While inside I was proud of that 9.0 on the fart scale, I stood there feeling embarrassed also.

"Who Farted?!"

So what I fart when no ones around?
I expect you to do the same
enjoying the moments in-between things
every second that is unaccounted for
thats what I live for

screw a 9 to 5
and vacation days
I want the breath I breathe to be unbridled passion
between the atmosphere and me
love making as hemoglobin
embrace oxygen
like, like, like the universe would explode
if they didnt do it!

So what I fart when no ones around
I also cuss on sundays
laugh when people fall down
and hope the cashier gives me too much change, though that never happens
I also volunteer more than I work my day job,
and have never turned down a chance to speak with children

but you are still worried about
my unwillingness to keep toxic gases
under lock and key until
i can dispel them in a more socially approved fashion
well screw that, and screw you too

because I'd rather not have my in-between moments
interrupted by your bullshit

Symbols

Farting:

To dream that you are farting, suggests that you are being passive aggressive. You need to express your feelings in a more direct manner.

Work:
To dream that you are at work, indicates that you are experiencing some anxiety about a current project or task. The dream may also be telling you that you need to "get back to work". Perhaps you have been slacking off and need to pick up the pace. Stop procrastinating. Alternatively, the dream reflects your success.

INTERPRETATION:
Another dream in which I woke up laughing. That's what I think of work.

Hmm... Well.. At work I am a bit passive aggressive. But I have to be in order to keep my job there. I mean... I can be really sarcastic and say things like, "Nope, I don't wanna do that." And while I say it in a joking way, inside it's the truth. I'm sick of working there. I've felt very lazy at work lately and have lacked energy. I have to mask my true feelings because I would get fired if I said something like, "Nah fuck that. I just wanna go home and go to bed." I mean everyone thinks that some days. But we gotta do what we gotta do.

I'm also waiting for the right time to tell my boss my plans of pursuing a great career which will require me to either find another job or try to work something out so I can work there part time. Oh well. In the meantime I'll try to.. hold it in. Pun intended.

In a Style Clark Gable Would Have Admired

This dream took place at my home. It was a big house somewhere that I don't wakingly recognize. The house was up for sale and I was eating breakfast. A beautiful girl and a couple of her family members came in as I was eating my cereal. While the real estate agent was talking to them, the girl stood beside me as I continued to eat my breakfast. I had a feeling that she was hinting something. That she liked me. That she wanted me. My instinct was correct when later we found ourselves outside of the house making out.

♫ I kissed you in a style clark gable would have admired, I thought it classic ♫

Symbols
Stranger:

To see a stranger in your dream, signifies a part of yourself that is repressed and hidden. Alternatively, it symbolizes the archetypal dream helper who is offering you insight and advice.

To dream that you are kissing a stranger, represents acknowledgement and acceptance of the repressed aspect of yourself. If you are kissed by a stranger, then your dream is one of self-discovery. You need to get more acquainted with some aspect of yourself.

Home:
To see your home in your dream, signifies security, basic needs, and values. You may be feeling at "home" or settled at your new job or environment. Alternatively, the dream represents your basic needs and priorities.

Breakfast:
To dream about breakfast, indicates the start of a new project or the beginning of a new stage in your life. Alternatively, your mind may already be thinking ahead on what to make for breakfast in the morning. It is not uncommon for your fleeting thoughts to be incorporated into your dream.

INTERPRETATION:
This dream was pretty fun. But the meaning is along the same lines as the "Frustrated" dream I had a few days ago. I already know this about myself. I acknowledge and am a bit embarrassed that I'm sick of being single. While one part of me thinks I'm just trying to 'play it cool' to get the girl in this dream, another part of me thinks that I should literally wait for the right girl to come to me while I begin something new for myself and that searching is pointless and even more frustrating. I acknowledge I am impatient and fear literally making out with any girl that stands beside me. Just kidding.. Nah.. I'm not that easy. I'm still very picky though and definitely impatient.

I must admit.. I'm a hopeless, incurable romantic. It's a basic need and desire built into all idealists. The need to have a partner. To feel loved, to have someone to love. Being single sucks and everyone that says 'enjoy the single life' are sick of being in shitty relationships and don't seem to know what loneliness feels like.

Raining Pumpkins

Jessica had a very odd dream that the world ended abruptly on Halloween.

"Samuel L Jackson was apart of [the] matrix and protected me, Matthias was laying on my bed watching tv, and Kayla and my dad were running around screaming."

"As I looked out my window everything looked like a perfect day, but then I walked outside and pumpkins were falling from the sky and turning it gray. I decided to wake up and re-cooperate. True story."

"Well I was really worried, but I pretended not to care what was going on, and I appreciated Samuel trying to protect me but I didn't believe he could. Also there was one part where I looked outside my window and everything looked perfect and safe but when I stepped up it was all screwed up. I have these weird dreams all time. Oh and Matthias didn't even care..haha he was watching T.V the whole time."

Me: What does the color gray mean to you? What does a gray sky remind you of?
Jessica: Gray to me feels neutral. Like...plain...simple. It reminds me of accepting depression and being neutral about it.

Symbols
Apocalypse:

To dream of the apocalypse, signifies an emotional and dramatic change taken place within. The dream may also indicate the end of one kind of lifestyle and the beginning of another.

Halloween:
To dream of Halloween, signifies death and the underworld. Halloween also represents the temporary adoption of a new persona where you feel less inhibited and more comfortable to freely express yourself.

Protection:
To dream that you are being protected or need protection, indicates that you are feeling helpless in some situation. Life's difficulties has made you dependable on others. You need to start taking charge of the situation.

Pumpkin:
To see a pumpkin in your dream, implies your openness and your receptiveness to new ideas and experiences. A pumpkin is also symbolic of female sexuality. Alternatively, the dream may relate to the popular fairy tale of Cinderella where a carriage turns back into a pumpkin. In this regard, a pumpkin may represent some situation in which time is running out.

Weather:
To dream about the weather, signifies your emotional state of mind. Stormy or windy weather implies conflict and aggression. Rain and hail represents depression and sadness. And rainbows and sunshine signify hope and happiness. Alternatively, weather may be a pun on "whether" you should do this or that. Perhaps you are trying to decide between two options.

Sky:
To look up at the clear blue sky in your dream, denotes hope, possibilities, creativity, peace and freedom of expression. As the saying goes "the sky's the limit." If the sky is cloudy and overcast, then it foretells of sadness and trouble.

To dream that the sky is falling, represents your fear of the unknown. You feel that your hopes and dreams have been shattered. Perhaps you have been too idealistic and the dream is an attempt to bring you back to reality.

To dream that something is falling out of the sky, signifies your pessimistic attitude. You are losing perspective on a situation. If the object is getting closer and casting a shadow on you, then it indicates that you are being ignorant about some situation. You need to get out from under the shadow and gain a different perspective on things.

INTERPRETATION:
Dreams like this can be overpowering and confusing. There are a lot of powerful symbols in this dream and a few familiar people, which helps figure out the meaning. Keep in mind that the best interpreter for a dream is the dreamer.

After reading what the symbols mean and the events and reactions of the dream, it sounds like you're going through some inner turmoil. You may be depressed about something or unsure of a decision to be made. An apocalypse scenario on Halloween is almost overkill, representing an ending to a habit, outlook, or attitude within and your desire to show the world a newer, better you.

Samuel L Jackson may be a man you consider strong and protecting, whom you may have seen recently, or are a fan of. Your unconscious needed a strong figure other than the people you depend on most- your boyfriend, Kayla, and your dad. While you depend on them for support, this dream may reflect some unconfronted fears of their possible reactions to whatever change or decision you are about to make. You fear your boyfriend won't care either way; that he will still be content with you. Alternatively you may fear him neglecting you afterwards. You may fear that Kayla and your dad will freak out and will not be as supportive as you want them to be. You needed Mr. Jackson in your dream because in real life you want to be sure there is someone who will always have your back. Alternatively, you're unsure of your support group's actions during a crisis.

Looking on the possibility of this change, you feel hopeful, but you fear the unknown or fear something going wrong. The meaning of gray to you makes me believe you are pessimistic about this change or decision and will fall right back into bad habits, attitude, or depression, staying neutral, and accepting it. Almost expecting things to go wrong. I suggest you be confident and have more faith in your decisions and expect the best. The world and those close will appreciate a better you.

I hope I'm close and that this helps. :)

"Frustrated"

I was sitting in a circle playing cards with three other people. The cards were different colors and the face had pictures of people. Like great looking headshots of people I didn't know. I played my hand, apparently playing by the rules of laying down two similar cards at a time on the stack. One person skipped me as I was putting down my second card. I got frustrated because he cheated and I threw my card in his face. The others saw my hand of cards and made fun of me for having all female cards. What's wrong with that?

Symbols
Cards:

To dream that you are playing a game of cards, represents your ability to strategize in various areas of your life. In particular, diamonds indicate wealth and materialism, clubs indicate work and industry, hearts indicate happiness in love, and spades indicate troubling times and disappointments.

Games:
To dream that you are playing games, indicates that you need to take a break from your daily life. It is time to relax. Alternatively, the dream symbolizes the spirit of competition and the rules you live by. Consider the type of game you are playing for additional significance.

Frustration:
To dream that you feel frustrated, represents your difficulty in coping with a situation in your daily life. It may reflect concerns that your life is not going in the direction you want.

Teasing:
To dream that you are being teased, suggests that you are behaving or acting inappropriately in some waking situation. You are not taking your actions seriously. Alternatively, the dream indicates that you are feeling victimized by others or by circumstances. Teasing may also be a metaphor for someone who is being "a tease", perhaps even yourself.

INTERPRETATION:
I am sexually frustrated. The end.

Ha.. I know that's true but I can go a bit deeper (no pun intended) into the meaning of this dream. I wasn't sure. But I think it's my frustration of being single. The cards represent women I've been interested in and the card game is simply 'the love game.' And currently my 'love life' is quite barren. The cards I've played, the past few (yes 3 or more) women I've been interested in have either chosen a long crush, gotten back with an ex, or like the guy in the dream who skipped his turn.. jumped in to steal her away. I can definitely see how this dream is a sad frustration of my love life. So effing lame. That dream sucks.

"Life is like a game of cards... how well you do in the end will depend on what you do with the cards you've been dealt."

Stirring Desert Canyons

The scenery in this dream was beautiful. I was standing in a small green field next to large rocks. In front of me was a magnificent canyon area with lots of swirling oranges and light browns.

Behind me was a forest. Walking along the edge of it was my ex and her boyfriend. I dunno why I dreamed about them. They were holding hands and walking alone.

With me, spread out in different areas of the green field was Derek's kids and everyone from his youth group. I walked over to another rock area where a black cauldron was. I started stirring this bean/rice/soup looking mixture with a large wooden spoon. The end.

Cooking:
To dream that you are cooking, signifies your desire to influence others in such a way so that they will like you or become dependent on you. Alternatively, it represents your nurturing side. You want to be loved. Or the dream could mean that you need to express your creativity.

INTERPRETATION:
I'm not sure what this dream means. I didn't have any heavy feelings with this one.

My youth group used to be a tight-knit group of friends. Now we're all spread out and distant from each other for various reasons. Maybe the significance of the field is our freedom to roam wherever and currently we are all apart from each other.

If cooking symbolizes influence and a nurturing side. Maybe I long to bring us all back together. That maybe it's possible to reunite the group and belong despite our imperfections. Or maybe I long for that kind of kinship with another group and the people in my dream is just a reflection of once was. I'm not sure...

The relevance of there being three different areas has to do with where we are in life. I'm slowly moving away from the past and towards something beautiful. Those desert canyons also represent wonder and I believe my future. This strange mix of events in life make up the ingredients of who I am.

Make It Better

I was running through a jungle of someone's sloping backyard. Trip wires littered the area and 2 'team mates' ran along side of me. It almost felt like this was some sort of game with obstacles. We ran through the yard dodging the trip wires and collected various bike parts. My partner handed me a wheel and I took off running. All the while, a song played in my dream. It was really strange. I have never remembered hearing music in a dream before. And this song had lyrics. It sounded like a mix between NOFX and The Offspring. The lyrics went, "I know who you think you really are." And it sounded so angry and accusatory. But also I remixed that song in my head to how the band Lifehouse would do it- the singer's voice and everything; and the tone of the song became more beautiful and understanding. Straaaange. Wow.. this will take some work to interpret...

Symbols
Backyard:
To dream about your backyard, represents your childhood memories or your unconscious. Alternatively, dreaming of your backyard, refers to the secrets you are keeping. There are some aspects of your life which you want to keep hidden and out of the view of others. The dream also represents some aspect of your life that you have taken for granted. Consider also the phrase "not in my backyard." In other words, everything is okay as long as it does not happen to you or occur in your own home. The condition of the yard is also symbolic of how well you maintain and balance aspects of your life.

Yard:
To see a neat and well-kept yard, reflects your ability to maintain and organize aspects of your outside life, such as work and your social activities. To see a messy and unkempt yard, denotes that aspects of your life are out of your control.

Wire:
To see or work on wiring in your dream, represents your energy flow. It also indicates some tension or stress in your life. Perhaps you are the live wire. Alternatively, wires represent your connection and relationship to others. If the wires are old or rusty, then it symbolizes negative energy or a bad temper. The dream may also be a metaphor for feeling "wired". You are excited about something.

Stealing:
To dream that you are stealing, suggests that you are feeling deprived. The locale (at home, the office, at school, etc) of where the stealing takes place is indicative of your neediness. Alternatively, stealing signifies unrealized and unfulfilled goals. You may have set your goals too high.

INTERPRETATION:
One of my big questions is: What happens if I trip on one of the wires?

So if the backyard is a symbol of secrets I'm keeping or my unconscious.. That means the song is my unconscious talking to me while I'm running around in its territory. It sounds kind of creepy. The taking of the bike parts has something to do with building a bike or something that my bike symbolizes. Hmm.. well my bike symbolizes overcoming myself, freedom, a tool for appreciating the countryside, or the city and the open air, perseverance, health and vitality.

As for the two team members, they were merely a projection of myself and we were one team working towards a common goal. I think the dream symbolizes breaking into the part of my brain that is keeping secrets and hidden negativity. I'm dodging my own security system to collect parts to build something good. Going through that negative accusatory part of my brain to pull out positive things about me and assemble that to permanently change myself for the better, and change that song to an upbeat tune. One Lifehouse would be proud of lol.

I like this dream after analyzing it. Because I didn't trip on any wires and the song changed. It means I have the ability to avoid stress and ♫ take a sad song and make it better ♫ inside my head.

Looking

This dream was brief and kind of confusing. I was at a restaurant somewhere and was sitting at a table alone. Across the room, my best friends Brittney and Cody were sitting by themselves. I wondered why they weren't sitting with me. I was just there alone. Bizarre.

Symbols:

Friend:
To see friends in your dream, signify aspects of your personality that you have rejected, but are ready to incorporate and acknowledge. The relationships you have with those around you are important in learning about yourself. Alternatively, dreaming of a friend, indicates positive news.

Sitting:
To dream that you are sitting, indicates your indecision. You do not know what you want to do about something. It also suggests that you are idling and wasting your life away.

Separation:
To dream of a separation, suggests that you are experiencing some separation anxiety. You are afraid of feeling unneeded or abandoned. Alternatively, the dream means that you need to looking at an issue more objectively. You need to pull yourself away from a situation and look at it from afar.

Restaurant:
To dream that you are in a restaurant, suggests that you are feeling overwhelmed by decisions and choices that you need to make in your life. Alternatively, it indicates that you are seeking for emotional nourishment outside of your social support system.

INTERPRETATION:

This dream has a couple of meanings based off of what I've felt lately and the symbols in this dream. I could confuse myself by the symbolism so I'm just gonna stick to my feelings about this one.

A simple meaning of this dream is that I don't see my friends enough and I wish I could spend more time with them. They are always busy. And I'm just eating alone at my own table.

A bit more complex meaning to this dream is that I'm looking at other people's relationships from afar wishing I had something similar or better. Everyone around me is either getting married or entering new relationships. I've been single for almost a year. I'm not sure where the indecision comes into this dream or my waking life. It must have something to do with a personal thing. Whether or not I should be looking at all. Probably not. Decision made.

Grow Up

I was at Chuck E. Cheese's or somewhere similar with my cousin. It's not odd cause we went all the time when we were kids, especially when we got our report cards or there was a birthday. In the dream I went to one of those games where you put a token in and it rolls down a slope and launches into a spinning wheel with different size slots. I was badass at that game when I was little. I could time it just right to make it into the jackpot slot every time.

This time, I put the token in the slot but something was blocking it. In the port, there were tokens blocking. I was able to open up the machine and then saw a wad of cash blocking the slot even further. What idiot would shove dollars into this machine? This is better than winning tickets. Score!

Symbols:

Money:
To see or win money in your dream, indicates that success and prosperity is within your reach. Money represents confidence, self-worth, success, or values. You have much belief in yourself. Alternatively, dreaming about money, refers to your attitudes about love and matters of the heart. It is a common symbol for sexuality and power. In particular, finding money indicates your quest for love or for power.

To dream that you steal money, forewarns that you are in danger. You need to be more cautious. On a positive note, the dream indicates that you are finally going after what you want in life. Alternatively, stealing money means that you are lacking love. You are desperate to be accepted.

Coins:
To see coins in your dream, indicate missed or overlooked opportunities that have come your way. To see gold coins in your dream, represent success and wealth. Silver coins represent spirituality, intuition, values, and your sense of self-worth. Copper coins indicates healing.

Token:
To see or use a token in your dream, symbolizes your limited resources. Consider what the token is used for and what access it gives you.

INTERPRETATION:

Chuck E. Cheese is like a legal gambling casino for kids except you use tokens and not real money.

The meaning of the symbols in this dream circle around events going on in my life right now. I have chosen a new career path that is guaranteed to give me a great job earning lots of money. The finding of the money in this dream is a reflection of that. It's a path I'm confident about this time and all of the pieces are coming together through my own efforts. I've only told those closest to me whom are encouraging. Sorry about the secrecy but I don't wanna go around blurting it out until things are going good.

I believe the significance of my cousin being there and being at Chuck E. Cheese represents our childhood spent together and the fact that our career paths are in the same field and very similar. I think it has to do with me growing up. This has been the hardest year of my life and I've matured and grown so much. As it relates to this dream, I think I'm finally taking that next step towards a successful and prosperous future.
